We’re getting ready for the next PHILAS Auction - and we need your help to keep everything on track.
With over 2,200 lots in this auction, there’s plenty to do, and something for everyone. Whether you’re handy with a computer or prefer hands-on work, we’d love your support.
But this is about more than just one auction.

Why We Do This

The PHILAS Auction is a cornerstone of our efforts to support philately in NSW - helping clubs, collectors and future generations stay involved. By volunteering your time, you’re not just helping with folders and spreadsheets - you’re helping keep the hobby alive.

What Needs Doing

Manual work:

• Organising and setting up the Auction lots for easy viewing
• Adding lot numbers to auction folders, albums and boxes

Computer work: (No experience needed - training provided!)

• Entering lot numbers into a spreadsheet
• Scanning images
• Renaming image files

Viewing Times:

• Before the Auction - volunteers are needed to supervise prospective bidders while they inspect lots.

Day of the Auction:

• We’ll need at least 12 people to help manage things properly.

Our previous IT manager, Ted, is back lending a hand on Tuesdays and some Saturdays. It’s great to have experienced volunteers returning, but we still need more help to stay on track.

When and Where
