There has been a bit of progress made in terms of starting to set up the library.
The hard work to excavate, better label and lay-out all of the boxes of Library resources initiated by Mick Evans, and latterly supported by Mike McHugh, Geoff Kellow, Graeme Morriss and Bruce Chadderton has uncovered a lot of the material required to fill the large compactus established on site over Christmas. Its discovery in turn has prompted Geoff and Graeme to start putting material on shelves, which is also creating space where the boxes of material used to reside. The photos below show the progress being made.
The team also keep discovering additional repositories of Library boxes which have been stored in a variety of places in an effort to generate the initial space for the compactus.
The library is a stand-alone statutory body called The Philas Library Inc. It has its own ABN.

The committee is looking to fill the Administration Secretary’s role with a permanent appointee and also to find a Technical Officer to manage the devices which the library is planning to acquire.
